Lovely weekend break

Liked: Executive room was spacious, clean and warm. Spectacular views across beautiful countryside. Dinner was excellent with great service. Breakfast delicious but could do with more vegetarian choices.
Disliked: No mixer taps in bathroom. Location of soaps good for shower but too high for a bath.

A fantastic stay, highly recommended!

Liked: I highly recommend staying here. The staff were lovely, the room was spacious yet cosy and luxuriously decorated, and the breakfast was the best of the 7 hotels we stayed at on our 2 week road trip (my boyfriend is still talking about how good the bacon was!). They’ve really thought of everything. There’s even a mini fridge in the hallway with fresh milk for tea and coffee - a really nice touch. I felt that it was definitely worth the cost.
Disliked: My only small gripe was that the bed was 2 singles pushed together and it was too uncomfortable to lie in the middle. This seems to be really common now, I’m not sure why. Perhaps a mattress topper would make the divide between the 2 beds more comfortable? Not sure if they have actual king size beds here but it’s potentially worth requesting it when booking, if that’s your preference.

Disliked: Very noisy 'locals' at the bar on the first night, conversing at an extremely loud level, not really respecting other guests in conversation around them.
