Excellent value for money, very...

Liked: Excellent customer service, lovely and clean. Amazing location. We travelled as a group of 3, and I would recommend 2 rooms, as they are great value, but the fold out camp bed for the 3rd person did not have a thick mattress so you can feel the metal struts through the mattress. The other bed is comfortable, but is a small double. The toilet door is a sliding one ;)

The staff was very kind....

Liked: The property is on a great location. Public transport is on 5 minutes away. There is a pub at the hotel.
Disliked: A lot of stairs and no elevator. But it was very cosy.Last night something happened with the smoke sensor. When we went to sleep the smoke sensor started to ringing. I guess someone is smoked in some from the other rooms, but it was one time event.

Liked: Great staff, very welcoming and always available to ask any questions. The room was as shown in the pics, a little tired but for the money it’s a great place to stay. Comfortable and quiet room and a nice rain shower. The bar downstairs was very nice and the food looked amazing. Recommend for a nice long weekend.

Liked: Amazing staffs and very nice neighborhood. A bit hard to commute around places but the walk around the area was nice! I’ll definitely recommend booking this place especially on short notice!

Liked: - location- this area is quite safe and clean- very friendly staff- price (back then it was on a discount)- it is allowed to keep the luggage even if you arrive earlier
Disliked: - it's a VERY small room (which was fine for us, but for some people it can be important)- no other issues

Everything great

Liked: Everything was perfect.Beautiful Rooms, nothing was missing. Just fiew minutes walk from Edgware Road Tube station and from Hyde Park and Paddington.Very nice and polite guy at the reception.When again in London, we’ll come back to the Duke rooms!

Misguided (Not Soundproved!)

Liked: I loved the localisation. Close to parks.Luggage storage available at place.
Disliked: I only booked this place as it was marked as soundproofed. However it was not. Because of this fact I felt lied to and misguided. If you book a place to stay, it's usually a place to sleep, and If sleep is affected then the service isn't provided. The first night was not as bad as it was Thursday, so I could hear only loud car engineers passing by from time to time and the downstairs pub stopped working around 11pm. However the second night it was a nightmare and I could not sleep as people in the room next door were drunk and loud till 4am, just talking, banging doors, going in and out of the room multiple times and everything was heard as it was in the same room.. Asked to be quiet they ignored us, as they were basically at least drunk (3 people at least). No phone number in the room provided of where to call in case of problems, nothing. There was some note outside, however I did not take pictures and did not feel safe leaving the building (and in pijama) to get the number to complain. It ruined nice planned day as I felt super tired :(There was loads of dust in some parts of the room (phone, top of bed frame, side lamps) and a big dirty spot on a side table - I think it could be after an electric toothbrush. Some corners were super dirty in the bathroom, which summed up questioned the fact that if the rooms are clean after each guest and if yes, maybe somebody should check the quality.There was mold on the window frame.The hair dryer handle was falling off the wall.We had a three people room, booked for two with the idea to have nice sofa sitting space and more room, to come to the sofa prepped for sleep too, which took most of the free space in the room.Not really space for luggage, just small open wardrobe with two hangers (probably just for coats), so we were walking around the suitcase on the floor.Oh and betting was really creased. Seem like either used ny somebody else or just nobody cares to keep it ironed.
