Great location

Liked: it is close to the castle and community centre where we had a wedding. beautiful location and good food in the restaurant . Great shower, comfy beds and full length mirror.
Disliked: small room, no TV and bathroom shelves and skirting boards we not cleaned well.

Nice stay at Dornie.

Liked: Clean, comfortable room, spacious. Nice bath with good hot water. Quiet location. Breakfast foods were delicious. You can walk to the Eilean Donan Castle from this location to capture some beautiful early evening pictures. We enjoyed the pub and music next door. Few restaurants in the area so you need to get to the The Clachian Pub early to get a table. Restaurant closes at 9:00 and music begins at 10:00. Pub gets extremely crowded for the music.
Disliked: Lots of steps and no elevator.

Good value, nice staff and...

Liked: Well situated hotel for travel onto Skye and NC500. Friendly staff and we had a nice dinner and drinks + good breakfast.
Disliked: More of a pub with rooms to be honest and no tv in the room. But these are very minor negatives as we enjoyed our stay here.

Highland wedding stay...in a magnificent...

Liked: The food was brilliant, great welcome from the staff on arrival. Good service at breakfast and dinner.
Disliked: We were staying for a wedding at the Castle and accommodation was limited that weekend. Our room was part way through being refurbished, the new bathroom not quite finished it needed a mirror over the basin. No tele in the room, but I'm sure when it's finished it'll look very swish. However the food and hospitality was great and our stay was right at the end of a long summer season. Keep up the good work.....

There are better hotels nearby...

Liked: Maybe the Location?
Disliked: Firstly, the hotel (or hostel?) DO NOT include tissue paper in the room.Secondly, we were told that we cannot consume food in our room which was not stated in the listing.Third, we were allocated room 7 which is directly above the restaurant and was incredibly noisy.

Liked: Everything about the place was fantastic. I don't understand why there are some poor reviews on the place. Some people just have to moan The waitress was exceptionally helpful, as were the bar staff.
Disliked: Reading some of the reviews

Good and not so good.

Liked: Lovely bathroom with amazing shower and nice toiletries. Quiet rooms - appreciated the absence of tv as the hotel was quite busy. Excellent parking. Really nice breakfast.
Disliked: The listing said twin room with sea view but facilities listing indicated a king size bed.. There were twin beds in the room. Room smelt horribly damp and musty when we arrived and, sad to say, there was a floater in the toilet.. Sea view not there because the blind could not be raised more than 1/3 of the way up. I have mobility issues so couldn't manage the stairs again that evening, but messaged the hotel through their contact page. Got a reply next morning to say I should have reported it previous day. For £178 the room was not worth the cost - especially since it was a gift to celebrate my 70th birthday.
