Hotel with very comfortable and...

Liked: My husband and I spent 1-night at the Dog & Badger in mid Sept. The room was fantastic with a lovely comfortable large bed, quality bed linen, a very high spec bathroom, plenty of storage, small fridge and kettle / coffee & tea making facilities, plus air conditioning. There was also plenty of parking and check-in was very efficient.Unfortunately, the hotel was closed apart from accommodation - so no drinks or breakfast available. We were told / could see a hole had unexpectedly appeared in the car park some months ago and whilst it is being investigated, the hotel is essentially closed for business apart from providing accommodation. However, the room was very fairly priced to take into account the lack of facilities outside the room.We would most definitely return if and when the hotel is fully open for business again. We might even stay again if we need to spend a comfortable night just outside Marlow.
Disliked: Nothing - except the bar and restaurant being closed for business.

Liked: The room was large and well equipped, the ceilings are low though, the bathroom was large with a lovely bath and a separate luxury shower. The bed was super comfy. there is a fridge in the room with complimentary milk and water provided. There was no breakfast available but that suited us. The location was very peaceful.

Liked: Lovely and helpful service, in spite of the restaurant being closed down. They kindly let us charge our car for free.
Disliked: It was unfortunate that the restaurant was closed down.Seems to have a good reputation. The city should really solve the safety issue and let them get back to work.

Liked: The property itself is very nice. My problem is that Booking.com does not mention anything about no food, restaurant or bar. Not available due to a sinkhole. Instead, it’s buried at the very end of the description. And if you just go by the reviews, it looks like a great place. Very deceiving, and driving into town on those narrow roads with no street lights while it’s raining is an accident waiting to happen. It’s a shame because I knew it would’ve been great if they were open.
Disliked: No bar no restaurant in Booking.com does not make mention of that until they’re very end of the property description which I’m sure no one reads

Liked: Location and quite ness in the middle of the forest and the hotel was clean,tidy and very welcoming throughout our stay will use this next time we are in the area, great roads network .
Disliked: Nothing
