Pleasant - 3.0 out of 5

Great location, dated hotel, staff...

Liked: The reception staff were friendly and inviting. The grounds and proximity to the beach/town is brilliant. There is a secure gate which takes you straight to the beach. The grounds are well kept and is a beautiful green space.
Disliked: It’s very dated inside. Our room had a kitchenette which was falling apart (very 1980’s). There was no chopping board, the only ‘sharp’ knife was blunt and the fridge wasn’t great (barely cold then froze everything). The frying pan wasn’t flat, so cooking eggs on an electric plate was interesting. The family bathroom shower had very poor water flow/pressure and the sink hot tap was dripping and wouldn’t turn off. All of the sinks were blocked/poor drainage. As a family of five, having a kitchenette was important for our stay. Thankfully we took our air fryer from home, so didn’t use/need the oven. The sauna was out of order and the ‘spa facilities’ are also very dated. The indoor pool was clean.

Very good

Liked: The apartment we stayed in was larger than we expected. Also quiet as on the top floor at the end of a corridor.
Disliked: The decor was very dated.

Don't be fooled by the...

Liked: The views from this hotel are incredible. The reception staff were very informative and friendly but unfortunately these are the only positive things I can really say.
Disliked: Potential, so much potential. Unfortunately potential doesn't make for a great stay. This hotel could be something very special but is in dire need of renovation and revitalisation. Everything from trying to park to the threadbare carpets in the room just showed that this hotel has been neglected. It would would be great to see the building managed and renovated to a good standard but as it is... it's had it's day.
