Liked: Excellent location. Comfortable beds and pillows, and decent sized rooms and bathroom for London standards.
Disliked: I have stayed in several London hotels before but this was not a positive experience. They were severely understaffed for such a big hotel, during such a busy festive season. Check in was extremely slow, chaotic to say the least, and porter service was very unorganized and understaffed, and housekeeping was atrocious. No one answered the phones for front desk, we had to go down to reception with our requests. Although most of the staff would try their best, I put it down to extremely poor management. There was a huge confusion with our rooms at check in, the reception staff were unhelpful and unaccomodating. The porter service to bring luggage to our rooms was very slow. We were 3 people in our room but housekeeping would only leave 1 towel every single day. There was a bad sewerage smell in the corridors. The cleanliness of the corridors and rooms could have been improved, and they could have put diffusers in the corridors to combat the drainage smell. It’s like a train station with absolutely zero attention to customer experience. On a positive note, the location is fantastic, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the food at the sound bar was exceptional.

Disliked: There was a very bad smell in the corridors outside the rooms. We were in eighth floor
