A good place to say...
Liked: Centrally located. Clean comfortable room.
Disliked: There were a number of relatively minor 'issues'.1) Bedroom. We couldn't find out how to turn the light on nearest the door. On leaving we were told the switch was on the outside before entering the room. A small notice somewhere would have been helpful. Also the bed was very low and the very large window next to the bed could have benefited from 'net curtains' so one didn't have to use the dressing gowns to get in and out of bed in the morning.2) Reception. We arrived at 2pm (rooms stated as being available from 3pm). We spoke to the lady behind the bar and explained we were early and asked whether our room was ready and, if so, was there any chance of checking in early. She said that she thought the room was ready, but she needed the manager to confirm this. The manager appeared and showed us were we could leave our bags until 3pm when we'd be able to check in. I asked when our rooms would be ready, but he declined to answer and went away. We'd just sorted out our things to leave, when he re-appeared and said our rooms were ready and would we like to go up to them now. He was then extremely friendly and very helpful. It was a complete contrast to our first encounter a few minutes earlier when he was cold and unhelpful!!!3). Breakfast. This was very good but a bit haphazard!. We were offered tea/coffee and were shown the menu which was a set of priced options for non-residents but we knew it was all inclusive. There was no cereal or fruit juice on the menu, so we asked about fruit juice and were offered a choice of 4. Toasted bread (and butter) was supplied with the full breakfast, but no offer of jam! In most full breakfasts one would expect to be offered cereal or other (eg yoghurt) a main breakfast and toast to follow. Things seemed to be available if we asked, but we would have expected to have been offered them.

Comfy, good food, convenient.
Liked: Food: all good….the Sunday Roast was lovely.Bed was comfy.Milk and water nice and cold in mini fridge.Convenient for Oxford and a stroll around Blenheim …along a public footpath.
Disliked: Room was too warm when arrived, we did remove a Perspex panel and open a window. Let’s more traffic noise in but easier to sleep, for us!Would have liked a box of tissues, body lotion in shower room.
