Could have been better.

Liked: This is a great place for an insomniac with a bad back that does not want a warm room. The staff are friendly and welcoming, they managed to change me to a different room as I did not like the first 1 offered. Evening meal and breakfast were tasty, tasty, very very tasty.
Disliked: The weather was not great.

Very good

Liked: Breakfast was plentiful and sausages were tasty and good quality. We had dinner on our second night and weren't disappointed, food was tasty and plates were full, great value. Room was cosy two comfortable double beds everything you needed. All staff friendly and helpful. Great wee hotel.
Disliked: Only critique was kettle needed de-scaling due to hard water, but was replaced without a problem thank you.

Liked: Everything, the staff were fantastic really helpful, polite and friendly the room was very comfortable and very clean the bed was comfortable.the food in the bar was really good.The breakfast was well cooked and a good portion.i would recommend staying here

Good value for money

Liked: We had dinner and breakfast. The food was rustic and very tasty - the local sausages were delicious. Portions were generous and offered value for money. The twin room we had was well provisioned and clean.
Disliked: Carparking was very competitive and an issue when we arrived as there wasn't any left. I was able to move the car after dinner. This was mainly due to a long van parking horizontally across 3 bays. The twin room was fine but the single bed had seen better days and the floor was flagstones which was quaint but slippery and cold

Liked: Dog friendly, superb accommodation, breakfast available from 6am on a Sunday, Saturday night evening meal was superb. Will definitely be back. A gem of a place
Disliked: Parking a tad difficult but staff really helpful. It was busy so couldn't be helped when in a village location
