Liked: Location was perfect for us. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was ok.
Disliked: The room was very dated and could do with a refurb. However the space was great. Parking was a challenge but we managed in the end. Generally needs some investment in decor and furnishings.

Very dated hotel, but staff...

Liked: The position of the hotel directly on the seafront was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the dinner menu food was very good. Breakfast was ok, but not the variety of fresh fruit that I needed. Everything within the room and the restaurant was very clean.
Disliked: The property is very dated - 60's style emulsioned blown vinyl wallpaper that is in desperate need of a new coat of paint. The stairwell was very narrow and dark in places, with sensor lighting that was ok on the way up, but between the second and first floor didn't activate until you were nearly at the first floor, which together with a very dark carpet, made it quite dark when descending between floors.Very squeaky floorboards in the bathroom, which caused a disturbance. Parking was a bit of a challenge. On street parking was either 1 hours and no return for an hour, or 2 hours with no return for 2 hours, or pay parking in the car park opposite.

Lovely hotel, great location, amazing...

Liked: The hotel was really lovely, excellent location on the Promenade/beach and a 5 min walk from the station. The views over looking the beach were amazing. The room and hotel have modern decor, and the beds were lovely to sleep in. The food was lovely and the staff were really helpful and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better stay, will definitely return.
Disliked: Room was on top floor (3 flights up) and I was travelling with elderly mum. Would definitely have improved stay if there was a lift.
