Exceptional

Liked: The Crown Inn in Sheffield is a great spot for travelers looking for a comfortable stay close to the city center. The rooms are clean, well-kept, and provide everything needed for a good night's rest. Despite being above a pub, noise isn't an issue, making it a solid choice for those wanting a balance between relaxation and accessibility. For thirsty travelers, the pub downstairs is a major plus. There's a great selection of beers, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and visitors. It's the kind of place where you can unwind with a pint after a day out in Sheffield. While it’s not a luxury hotel, it delivers exactly what you’d expect at its price point—good accommodation, a central location, and a proper pub experience. If you're after a no-fuss stay with character, it's well worth the money.

Good pub stop

Liked: Clean, comfortable, good bathroom. Easy check in. Quiet enough despite being directly above the pub (a Thu & Fri night stop). The small doubles are indeed on the small side - fine for a single, probably a little cramped for two. Would happily use again.

A warm welcome indeed

Liked: A very warm welcome and most importantly the rooms are attached to a great pub.
Disliked: Nothing to report - have now booked again for a music festival!

Excellent value in the middle...

Liked: Comfortable, convenient, clean, friendly - everything an inn should be. Excellent shower, no breakfast, though a very serious coffee shop across the street.
Disliked: Nothing

Excellent location, comfortable stay.

Liked: Very good location for seeing the sights of Sheffield. Accommodation over a pub but that didn't seem to be a problem, no noise etc. Out of hours access was well planned and allowed us the freedom to come and go even when the pub was closed.
Disliked: It wasn't advertised with breakfast and there are quite a number of options in Sheffield. There was tea and coffee in the room but it would have been nice to have a continental breakfast (fresh coffee and pastries) to start the day.
