Friendly welcoming place to stay

Liked: Really friendly staff so welcoming, room was clean with coffee station and bottle of water. Great location and good on site parking where you can come and go as you please. A lovely dog friendly hotel.

Friendly staff

Liked: Ideal location in the town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Downside the bathroom was very small. The breakfast buffet was good, especially the sausages.

Liked: The hotel was close to high street and eating places and super markets.Friendly staff Fresh linen and towels provided. Complimentary tea and coffee and water bottle provided in room ( not sure they would provide a water bottle daily)
Disliked: Took economy twin bed. Small crammed room.Shower didn’t have much pressure in it. No pegs at the back of bathroom door to hang clothes. The mattresses were caving in.Needed to pay On site parking Breakfast not included in the price

Very good

Liked: Very well priced and good size rooms. Unfortunately they do not offer evening food. But they do offer breakfast. Breakfast is full and continental. Can't fault the room or location of the hotel. Bar is nice with good selection of beers

Over priced and grotty, but...

Liked: Property is located on a busy interchange which is within convenient walking distance to the town centre and a short drive from where I needed to attend. Check in was smooth, and staff provided basic, polite service.
Disliked: The property did have a small car park, but charges an additional fee for parking there. On entering the property the smell of men’s toilets greet you at the door before you turn left to the bar or go right to go up the stairs for accommodation. The smell of gents toilets was evident all the way up the stairs to the corridor for accommodation. On opening the door to the room the smell of faeces was over powering, I checked the bathroom where nothing was evident and it was clean to a very basic standard. Windows did not open in the bedroom so I left the extractor fan on in the bathroom. On leaving and coming back around half an hour later the smell remained. I went up to the local supermarket and purchased mr muscle sink and drain in locker in a bed to refresh the drains, a toilet block/cage to reduce odour from the loo and gel air fresheners, after freezing the room a few times the smell seemed to reduce. There was no handle on the inside of the bathroom door, the hook on the back of the door had clearly snapped and not been fully removed, the paneling in the bathroom had broken bits, and the shower door kept sliding open while using the shower causing water to spray across the room (perhaps causing the offensive odour) The beds were clean, but the mattresses were springy and uncomfortable and the springs were noisy everytime you moved in your sleep causing poor sleep. All in all, over priced and grotty

The worst time we have...

Liked: Was good stayed 3/4 times in the passed this time was not to good .stayed at the top of the stairs was getting woken up in the night and early hours in the morning someone or a group coming in late .then someone shouting early hours in the morning dont no what was going on woke both of us up
