Wonderful and charming historic home...
Liked: A beautifully renovated room in a mid 19th Century home with all the original decor. The room itself had a renovated toilet, and separately renovated shower as well. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had ample room with classic chairs and period furniture. There was a small refrigerator in the room with beverages on offer.
Disliked: Nothing. However, if you have trouble with one flight of stairs maybe mention it at booking.

Basil Crisp, not Basil Fawlty
Liked: Beautiful accommodation with genuinely period furniture throughout. We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate a birthday and loved the accommodation. The location was convenient, and street parking was easy for the times we needed it for. Beautiful breakfast both mornings and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

Very good
Liked: It is an amazing place and is as advertised. Perfect for a family for a night. Couldn't try the breakfast as we had to leave early in the morning.

A luxiourous step back in...
Liked: It is a stunning historical property with breathtaking views of the Derwent from the street. The room - or Coach house - where we stayed is original (as much as original goes) with traditional fit out and rickety hard wood floors - elements I love. The shower was hot and quirky - a pressed metal wall encasing it, a wooden door to hide behind. The garden out front is the stuff of Alice’s dreams. A place you can lose yourself for a morning- and my son did for moment, a welcome distraction from his screen. For a night or three this is a charming place though to situate yourself and someone you like.
Disliked: The bed was a little too soft for my liking and my not so fab back. The tiny curtain, a window mini skirt, unfortunately did not keep the morning sun out of my eyes at 6.47am. The coach house is a squeezy space for 4, better for two friends or a set of lovers. There are narrow vertiginous steps up to the beds - not great for those who have rickety limbs or Tin man like mobility. We had to leave our suitcases downstairs in the sitting room- a space that would comfortably fit Captain Cook and a crew mate more so than our family of four who are luggage maximalists. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Fabulous accommodation
Liked: Place was gorgeous and the service impeccable. We loved the proximity to most things with just a 15/25 minute walk into town. The house itself was gorgeous and made our hobart experience even more remarkable
