Great location

Liked: Very nice hotel. The location was perfect. Just 3mins walk to Lancaster gate central line and the Hyde Park in the front of the hotel ! The staff was very nice. The only problem was the bed size. The double bed should be 180cm or at least 140cm. It was just too small for 2 persons. Otherwise i highly recommend the hotel. WE will be back soon and ask for 2 single beds next time

Liked: This hotel is an awesome, one of a kind building. It has an amazing interior architecture. The view from my very large window was to Hyde Park and beautiful trees (I think Garry oaks!) that have beautiful winding branches which look great even without leaves.The location is great: a few minutes walk to the Underground (Metro or Subway!). The bus stop is just by the hotel. There are some great restaurants close by. The breakfast at the hotel is very good. The Staff is very helpful, kind and very nice. The room was very spacious which was a nice surprise. There was a clothes rack, shelves for smaller items, and plenty of space to place the suitcase. The beds were incredibly comfortable! All this made it easier to relax after a busy day of visiting this great city, LONDON.
Disliked: The walls of the rooms occasionally let the sound go through. If you carry a conversation, be mindful of other people, who inadvertently may hear what you are talking about. Overall, I greatly enjoyed staying at the Columbia Hotel and would come back during my next travel to LONDON.

Liked: Very nice hotel! Great location, idea, staff, room, everything was excellent! There was a bit warm in the room, but I found how open the window and fixed the problem. Recommend!

It was good value for...

Liked: The hotel shared areas are TO DIE FOR. So, so beautiful, and truly old-school London vibes. Location is alright, if you're into walking, otherwise Lancaster Gate station is very close.
Disliked: The room could've had better lighting. Often times when doing my hair or makeup, I would need to use the flash of my phone to be able to see anything. No shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom, and the towels are quite small.

Wonderful stay at old charm...

Liked: Incredible location in front of Hyde Park, next to the tube and walking distance from Paddington. Spacious single room with high ceilings and window overlooking Hyde Park. Comfy bed. The staff were also all very friendly and polite. Will definitely return when I am next in London!
Disliked: The decor is indeed a bit outdated, but it did not bother me.

Liked: Only stayed the one night, but it was clean, comfortable and the staff were lovely. it’s a gorgeous hotel in a prime location!! I will 100% be returning

Liked: We were very well welcomed and offered a solution for an early check-in with a baby, which was a very good one. Thanks for that!The room was huge, well-decorated and had nice little vintage touches as well as the hotel itself. The playlist for breakfast was great (Thai rock!). The beds are comfy. Location won't suit everybody's tastes (touristy) but is central and easily reachable.
Disliked: Heating was 1000 degrees too hot, in the bedroom and in the hotel's corridors. Doesn't seem right neither for your health nor for the environement. We had a bare cable in our room (phone) that kept sizzling. A little scary but nothing that couldn't be solved while taking time to review the rooms (also had a ceiling light not working).
