Extremely hot & very old

Liked: Decent location
Disliked: Had a huge window wide open in mid-November and it was still extremely hot in the room and not comfortable to sleep. No air con or thermostat in the room. It is a grand building but hasn’t been updated in decades.

Liked: The beds we’re comfortable, the room was neat and tidy.
Disliked: The atmosphere wasn’t the most warm or vibey. There wasn’t anyone in the bar to serve us drink and it was empty.

Disliked: For more money I could have had a doubleOr queen bed The room was small but I expected that due to the bed size

A great place to stay...

Liked: The location of superb, the cleanliness of the hotel is very good, and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Decor is a tad dated but if you want the luxuries, then this hotel, which offers clean. Comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price is not the place for you
Disliked: We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment although for a hotel I would expect there to be facilities to obtain tea and coffee on the lounge without undue waiting which sadly isn’t the case here and the ability to obtain snacks outside of breakfast appear to be limited to crisps.

Liked: The breakfast selection was good, the staff was so nice and helpful, the building in itself is remarkable, the hall and breakfast/bar area are really beautiful!
Disliked: The bathroom is not practical: no shelves (except for the small glass one that is tilted above the sink) or storage, no soap dish, the taps are unpractical (one hot one cold), the shower head is fixed.The bedroom furniture is old and sometimes in poor condition.It was really hot.There was a party in within the hotel building until 2 am: we understand that the hotel is also an even venue but we paid for the hotel meaning we paid to be able to sleep properly and it was not possible before 2 a.m., which is very disrespectful toward the hotel customers who pay for nights to sleep. The music was extremely loud and we could hear it as if we were at the event. I had to come down to the reception to ask, and I was not the only customer to do so, proving the problem that it caused.

Liked: Nice staff, good breakfast and a comfortable bed.

Ok for location but nothing...

Liked: A cooked breakfast would have been better and more worth the money we paid
Disliked: Didn’t like breakfast and the bar was very poor quality nothing we drank was available
