We enjoyed our one night...

Liked: Enjoyed the full English. Tea bags not to my liking. Couldn’t see any cereals on offer.
Disliked: There were a lot of steps to our room but someone younger and more active probably wouldn’t find it a problem! We had problems finding channels on the TV but that could just be us not knowing how to use the remote properly.

Good

Liked: Room was perfectly okay, but nothing special for well over a hundred quid. Staff all very nice and helpful. Evening meal was nice, albeit the 'pie' was not a proper pie (only a flaky top), and they sent gravy when I asked for it. The cooked breakfast was good, but not if you're expecting cereal and all the other trimmings. I liked all the pictures relating to De Havilland aircraft (museum nearby). Location was good for me, as I was working at Tyttenhanger Park nearby.
Disliked: Didn't really live up to my expectations from the reviews on here. Overpriced for what you get. Bathroom was cold till the towel rail eventually heated it up. I was given a very dirty wine glass for my room, so I used the toothbrush glass instead, which was much cleaner. My room suffered from pub noise below which ceased at 11pm closing, but then restarted with loud conversation between young guys either staying in a room or in the pub after hours. I was trying to sleep (long day and it was only Wednesday), so I phoned reception at 11.30pm to complain, and the noise miraculously stopped straight away, which may mean it was coming from the pub below. Cooked breakfast was good, but it's just one course, no cereals, fruit, pastries, yoghurt, etc. You get a bit of toast on the side of the plate, but you have to ask for marmalade.

Dinner and Accommodation were all...

Liked: Bar and Restaurant Area was lovely with the Open Fires. Bar Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Dogs in the dining areas didn't impress me, also Breakfast was pretty poor, coffee was not nice, I wouldn't recommend or have Breakfast there again.
