Passable

It’s a good hotel but...

Liked: Good location, room’s size is very good, the shower is excellent, comfy bed.
Disliked: It was difficult to check in without anyone. We had difficulties with that. Also, the fact that there is never anyone from the staff at the hotel, we rarely come across anyone from the staff. There is also no breakfast, for the price of the room there should have at least a breakfast.

Liked: Very clean, but on a busy street, lots of traffic noise. If that doesn’t bother you, this a a fine hotel for the cost!

I am not able to...

Liked: The Cole Hotel has potential but at this point I have to describe it as a Work in Process.The Cole is the first hotel (that's really a motel) to charge $15 PER NIGHT to park in their small, unsecured parking lot. That is a first and should be a last. If you need to raise your room rates do it, but don't charge for unsecured parking on an alley.The unexpected mountain view from our room's rear window made up for a lot but I still don't think I would risk another stay at The Cole, nor can I recommend the hotel in good conscience. The are too many great small hotels in Palm Springs.The bed was excellent as was the shower.Hopefully things will get better.Let me know if they do...
Disliked: Strike 1:Check-in was a pain. The link sent by text went to an infamous 404 Error. Finally, once inside the locked front gate, near the front of the hotel, we found Laura, helping another guest to check in, which took a while.We waited and when we told her about the 404 Error she resent the check in link directly. Result? Another 404 Error. Eventually, we got checked in and she texted us our gate and room codes. (Momentary) Success.Strike 2:Getting back from lunch we noticed two kids in the pool playing. Kids in the pool at an Adult Onlly hotel? Well, that's what happens when there's no guest verification or in-person check in. I later learned the kid's parents didn't realize the hotel was 21 and up so The Cole staff let the kids use the pool while mom and dad found somewhere else to stay. Sigh...Strike 3:Back to the gate code. Well over an HOUR BEFORE check out time the gate and door codes both quit working. I had a feeling this might happen and it did. You have got to be kidding...Minor issues.A heavy towel hook in the bathroom tumbled on to the floor with a clang when I tried to hang up a towel. I'm glad it didn't fall on my toe. That would have hurt.The TV went OFFLINE early in the morning and would not rejoin the network.The ice machine was out of order (in December) so it wasn't from overuse.

Great place to stay for...

Liked: The hotel is in a great location for spending time in Palm Springs whether shopping, sightseeing, or outdoor activities. The room was very nice and very spacious. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I am in Palm Springs at least twice a year and have stayed in many different locations in Palm Springs and the surrounding area. This location will now be my "go to" place to stay.

A Dream Stay Come True...

Liked: First off, Cassie is amazing! She was an incredible hostesses who greeted us warmly and communicated very well. Located on the main road into Palm Springs, the location was great for getting into and out of town. That said, there was a little road noise but Cassie provided ear plugs and a sound machine, neither one was needed. The bed was very comfortable and the decor as we had hoped. We have passed The Cole sign dozens of times. We were so happy a stay there finally happened. Nice coffee supplies, bathroom amenities, and pool lounge equipment. What a delightful stay.
Disliked: There wasn't much not to like. A couple of things were tired. The safety lock on the door was ineffective, the hook on the back of the bathroom door was missing, and the lounge chairs had slight tearing. None would stop us from returning!

Liked: Property was very clean and bed super comfortable
Disliked: Check in was terrible. Was forced to check in via internet after getting 4 texts while driving to PS as staff was leaving at 5.
