Superb

Liked: We arrived mid afternoon and loved just chilling in the bar with a few drinks in front of the open fire. The atmosphere was great and all the people we spoke to were lovely. The room which was on the ground floor was amazing. It was beautifully decorated and really spacious. Bathroom had both a bath and a shower, complete with complimentary toiletries. We had dinner and drinks in the pub and the food was delicious.
Disliked: The shower wasn't very powerful, but we had a bath so it didn't really matter.

Liked: The room was nice to look at and the beds were comfortable and the welcome was warm.
Disliked: The toilet was dirty, which was kinda gross. It didn't flush well. The shower was tiny, so I had to turn the water off to wash myself with soap. When I turned the shower back on I hadn't touched the temp control but it first scalded me, then froze me before gradually warming up again. Also the fittings in the shower were only partially attached to the wall, which was unexpected and alarming when they nearly came off in my hand!

Liked: The location was excellent. I wanted to be outside Oxford but within driving distance to the JR hospital. The accommodation was on the ground floor which was perfect for my husband who has mobility issues. It was very quiet and the pub/restaurant was just across the courtyard. Also had coffee/tea facilities in the room.
Disliked: The bathroom although well equipped was very cold despite having a towel rail.

Disliked: We felt like we had walked into someone’s living room. The staff in the bar just carried on their conversation, there was no food available and the bar closed at 6.00! The room was dirty, dusty, no cups on the first night, no milk on the second and no soundproofing from next door who, we heard, had a very good night!!!!

Probably won't be back.

Disliked: Bed was uncomfortable, there was mould in the bedroom curtain and shower cubicle and the shower itself was lacking in power.

Liked: Welcoming and friendly staff. Accommodation has all amenities to make your stay very comfortable. The fresh milk provided for tea/coffee in the room a nice touch. Food menu was varied (above “pub grub”) and delicious. Location for access to Oxford excellent with bus service immediately outside. Park Ride only 6 or 7 miles away and that too was an excellent service.
