Lack of accountability

Liked: We have stayed here before and had an excellent stay. The room was what we needed and very clean and modern. The room was cleaned each day and restocked with water.
Disliked: When we were checking out we left our luggage in the storage room whilst we waited for our flight. Edwina took our luggage and never gave us a ticket, so when we returned the staff were confused as to why we had no ticket. Edwina came out from the office and blamed us for not taking it off the desk. Myself and my friend did not see any ticket on the desk to take nor was it communicated verbally by Edwina that it was for us to take. Edwina then mentioned she kept it in her pocket, but yet couldn't locate our luggage in the storage room. She asked us what did our luggage look like, and we explained they were 4 bags (2 suitcases and 2 bags, all black). She came out with a suitcase and a moss bros suit bag and asked if they were ours. We said no and she raised her voice in front of other guests at us across the atrium that this would be easier if we took the ticket and this is very difficult for her to locate our luggage. I then clarified we were given no ticket to take and can I please go into the room to locate our luggage. She then went back in and came out again to escort me in. We eventually got our luggage in the second room. This could have been resolved straight away if accountability was taken and honesty rather than a blame game. Separately to this, the phone in our room was not connected to a phone line and we were unable to contact reception which resulted in attempting to call on our own phones, which had a full mailbox so we could not contact reception at all.

Beautiful hotel in great location

Liked: Beautiful hotel, we were on the top floor which was a bit quirky. Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with good shower. We didn’t have breakfast but the cocktail bar was good, great service, busy on Fri/Sat nights. Liked the way the reception staff always greeted you as you went through the hallway.
Disliked: Slightly disappointed the Reunion bar wasn’t open during our stay, would have liked to see inside.
