Good

Liked: Amazing location but hotel rooms were a bit outdated. Room view was of a brick wall instead of the lovely canal we were on and room needed a bit of an update. However downstairs bar and lobby were lovely and you were a stones thrown from temple bar. Lovely bakery next door for breakfast.

Luxury in the heart of...

Liked: My son’s wedding was in the city centre, so we decided to stay in the Clarence Hotel for two nights. It was a great decision as the location and facilities were perfect for us. We loved the luxurious rooms and the bars and public areas. I was also happily surprised by how quiet the room was, given that we were beside the nightlife area of Dublin. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay right in the heart of the city.

Gorgeous hotel in the heart...

Liked: Gorgeous decor, really well located and great price. Had a bar cafe downstairs which was really nice - felt like a new york hotel in the 20s or 40s, loads of atmosphere and super clean.
Disliked: Really nice room however it looks straight out onto the street and the bathroom only had a flimsy net on the window and no way to close the curtain/blind for privacy. Also, a net on the bedroom windows would have been handy so we can have the light coming in and no one able to see in. This was a big issue. There was building work in the next room which was really loud (started at 7:15am) and the room itself was noisy (next room and on the street - the windows didn't block much sound. Also I was asked for 100 euro deposit, even though they took the first nights cost 3 days before arrival - I wasn't told about this and really annoyed. Either the deposit or first night's payment in advance - not both with no warning. No humidifier in the bathroom, but couldn't open the window due to no privacy. Massive conference party going on which was also really noisy - a warning would have been appreciated, given we'd requested a quiet room. We were told we were upgraded to a superior double, but we had two twin beds (as requested, so was fine, but couldn't see what the upgrade was?!?).

Lovely, great location, great staff

Liked: Great location, beautiful hotel, lovely people. The manager relocated us to a different room because our shower wasn’t working. They were so nice about it!

Hotel needs an upgrade

Liked: Bed comfort. Convenient location
Disliked: Poor room - chipped sink, sink didn’t empty, busy toilet refill, mould on inside of window
