Liked: Everything was cool, great location.. don't Uber, take train from Pearson airport, walk 10-15 minutes to the location easy peazy.

Liked: Adequate breakfast to start our day. Interesting buildings and area of the city. Got to chat with people from other countries during breakfast. We arrived in the evening and left fairly early the next morning, so did not have a lot of time there. Would stay there again.

They overcharge the guests adding...

Liked: The staff was very friendly, the hostel is clean and the location is good
Disliked: They overcharge the guests adding almost US$ 5 to the “Final Price” stated by Booking.com, lying that there’s a “new” city tax since May 2024. It’s easy to find the description of that law on the mayorship’s website – far from being recent, it’s from 2022, so it was surely already included in the price, because no hostel would be paying it for the guests during two years. It’s clearly a scam. When I complained they said I should either pay or look for another place to go, even though my reservation for the night had already been charged on my credit card (US$ 49). I saw many other guests being overcharged the same way. Now it seems we can’t trust Booking’s “Final Price” anymore
