Poor stay, junk fees

Liked: The design of the hotel is very nice. Location is great.
Disliked: This hotel visit was probably the worst experience in my life.1) Breakfast: cheap basic breakfast for 35$pp (waayyy overpriced for the quality). Omelette was not tasty (tastes like resin), as are croissants (very dry). Want some coffee? 5$ per a cup of filter coffee from a plastic thermos (which finished when we tried to pour it). 2) Room: windows are very dirty, sofas are old. There is a 8$ charge per a bottle of water in the room. Seriously, this is the first hotel in my lifetime that charges guests for water. It’s a total disgrace.3) Best part? You kind of have to buy the breakfast, due to a 35$ daily junk fee that they add to your bill.4) WiFi? Around 20$ per day for a high-speed WiFi. It’s waived if you pay their junk fees, but there is no way to not pay the junk fees. Which means this pricing is essentially fraudulent (shouldn’t it be free then)?“This all is pretty standard in California”, they said. Well I was keen to believe that, but we’ve visited 2 more hotels where the experience was great, so this is false.The only great thing was a manager Adam who was kind and great to communicate with.

Liked: The location felt safe, the rooms were a good size, clean and all staff were extremely friendly
Disliked: Price of breakfast. Lighting in the rooms was a little dark.
