Will definitely return.

Liked: The hotel was in a great location, just a short walk to the city centre. The room had a view of York Minster from the window. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and were very knowledgable about the city with recommendations of where to go and directions.
Disliked: NA

We had a very enjoyable...

Liked: Perfectly positioned, a short walk to the heart of the city. Plenty of parking (at a cost). All the staff were lovely. A very nice restaurant and good bar.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can definitely recommend it.
Disliked: The room was very hot and the shower was not the best but these are very, very minor criticisms and certainly did not spoil our stay.The breakfast was a bit expensive.

Liked: Beautiful old building with tactfully integrated modern items e.g. USB phone chargers. Very comfortable beds, very clean and the location was a 15 min walk into the city centre. We would stay here again (room 10 Downing Suite)
Disliked: Something to note we did not have an issue. There is no lift as the building is old. Staff are happy to help with bags. The hotel has a ground floor and first floor.
