Liked: It’s an ideal location for us with plenty of hassle free parking, and all you need around you. It’s our go to hotel in Newbury.
Disliked: The only thing I would say as a footnote. Check all the light bulbs are working in each room. ;-)

A great stay as always...

Liked: Breakfast was good, although short on pastries. The windows in the bedroom and bathroom could do with renovating, as had a lot of black mould around the frames. It being an old building mike make this challenging and did not negatively impact on our stay, which is regular. We will be back.
Disliked: Only the black mould on the windows, which wiped off with toilet tissue, suggesting that it does not get done regularly.

Pretty good, rooms clean, friendly...

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable. Included a separate radiator that was very strong, ended up turning it off because it was so warm. On site parking. Breakfast included. Staff was friendly.
Disliked: Water temperature was fluctuating a lot during shower, moments of ice bath followed by lava. Lighting was a bit lacking in the rooms as well, and no lifts. Parking spots were very tight, but understandable to squeeze out every inch of space.

Liked: Great value, local to the town centre.
Disliked: The bathroom could do with a bit of an upgrade, shower head, and screen need of attention along with the loo roll holder. Sealant around the bath needs replacing.Overall, it's a bit dated but ok for a short stay.

I would not recommend this...

Disliked: Original room 117, had stained bed linen. Inform reception and they changed out room too 116. Radiator did not work at all. Had very tiny heater which did not warm the room. Went back to reception and told them how cold it was in the room. Gave us a bigger heater and explained that maintenance would sort out the following day. Following day I asked reception if the Radiator was sorted. They informed me that the maintenance man had sorted it they lied I went back to reception and told them that the Radiator was still not working. They could not be bothered to sort this out. Not happy. I will not stay here again
