Very disappointing

Liked: Hotel was central to the CBD
Disliked: Room was very dark and smelt musty.Shower door had been removed and not replaced and water went everywhere when having a shower - very dangerous as one could easily slip. We ended up having a really wet floor each time we had a shower. The whole room was quite dusty and it seemed that it hadn't been cleaned properly in ages.No ventilation as no windows could be opened hence why we think it smelt very musty.No staff manning level one reception so we couldn't speak to anyone. Only via email.Parking was not good, had to park at a public car park which was very expensive. The parking below was not adequate and only suitable if you had a tiny car, which I might add there were only spots for about 12 cars or thereabout.Not sure how this establishment is called a hotel as there are no other facilities and no staff to talk to.

Comfortable, central, well equipped.

Liked: This place is centrally located and has secure parking and a secure entrance. The apartment was very well thought out and extremely comfortable - and very quiet at night despite being close to a main road. We slept very well. Kitchen facilities are very good, and there’s a supermarket nearby. Having a dishwasher was a treat. It’s walking distance to the Octagon and to the Settlers Museum.
Disliked: Nothing really - we liked everything. The cutlery drawer is in a weird hard to find place, and I wondered about recycling as there’s only one bin provided in the kitchen. But basically it was a very nice stay.

Liked: Brilliant location in city centre. Very quiet( even though in the city). Clean, comfortable, good kitchen facilities. Car parking easy to access.
Disliked: A rubber band was holding the shower in place and it kept slipping out so shower head unstable.

A wonderful stay

Liked: Great central location. Self check in, access to the property after hours and car park was very easy via the instructions provided by email. We stayed in room 209 which doesn't have a great outlook however it was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Perfect for our 3 night stay in Dunedin.
Disliked: The description of the Chamberson as a hotel was confusing. Serviced apartments is a more accurate. Not a big issue as there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby.
