This elegant Georgian hotel in Dublin city center is just 2 minutes' walk from O' Connell Street and very close to Temple Bar it offers rooms with private bathrooms a restaurant/bar with evening entertainment and free Wi-Fi. The recently renovated Castle Hotel is steeped in sophisticated Georgian style featuring original sweeping staircases crystal chandeliers antique mirrors and marble fireplaces. Rooms at The Castle Hotel are individually designed to reflect the elegance of the building and have hairdryers direct dial telephones tea/coffee making facilities and TVs. The Castle Vaults bar/restaurant has an exposed vaulted ceiling which was part of the original 18th-century wine cellars. It offers modern cuisine a pre-theater menu and an evening à la carte menu along with live traditional Irish music around weekends. The Old Music Shop restaurant is located in a Georgian Room overlooking Findlater's 19th-century Gothic Revival Church. It offers an all-day menu of pizza pasta salads and gourmet sandwiches. A good stay guaranteed.

Liked: The breakfast options were great. The hotel is beautiful itself with all the furniture, paintings and atmosphere. The staff was great as well.New towels, clean bathroom.
Disliked: The bed sheets were old with stains, the location from the city center is okay. The furniture in the hotel room was old, it needs a bit renovation.

Liked: The property was beautifull.
Disliked: The floors creaked LOUD inside and outside our room. We could here the neighboring rooms. It was hard to sleep because of the noise. This is the main reason for the poor review. We left exhausted!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time...

Liked: The Castle Hotel is a quaint place to stay. Rambling passageways to your room, stylish old world decor but very comfortable. Great beds, friendly and helpful staff and the best breakfast. Location is good with ready access to public transport. Car parking in site was a real bonus. Highly recommend.
Disliked: If I'm being picky, a shelf in the bathroom would have been helpful but other than that, it was perfect for our three night stay.
