Liked: Great location for us as we booked to visit the Gwyn hall which was a 19 minute walk
Disliked: Our room was nicely decorated but we were shocked to see so much dust on the black headboard and also the Venetian blinds.

Liked: Chose the castle as usual hotels in Swansea were either booked or overpriced, Neath is only a short drive out of Swansea . Castle hotel is in the centre of Neath close to shops, restaurants and bars .Nicely decorated hotel with plenty of character inc our room , room, very clean with everything we needed, we enjoyed some drinks in the comfortable hotel bar before going out. Breakfast was included in our booking and for the price was very reasonable All staff we encountered were very friendly and efficient , would definitely consider staying again when visiting Swansea

Basic, nothing fancy

Disliked: Rooms need major revamp I had cob webs hanging from ceiling, wallpaper coming off the walls from damp, bathroom sink cold tap I had to hold down with both hands to turn off in case the whole thing come off. The bedside furniture and dresser needs replacing as not sure what has happened but all paintwork come off leaving exposed big lumps of wood. Telephone covered in dust. Need to invest in decent pillows as well as two pillows make up one semi decent one. It’s a shame as its location is 15 mins from Neath station and is closer to family nearby than station in Swansea. We will be coming again as to be fair we literally only slept in it and was out all day as closer to who we visit, but needs some tlc the staff were lovely and helpful and couldn’t fault them at all.

Liked: Cold cold and mouldy rooms no cooked breakfast like there is on the review some staff add attitude we at a move rooms because of the cold would never stay there again so could Clive sort these out marks out of 10 minus 1
Disliked: Cold and dirty rooms mold on walls on booking.com it shows cooked breakfast but we informed it was continental cold and useless some staff and attitude we would never stay here again overpriced marks out of 10 minus 1 so Clive Clive please sort this out on your staff

Lovely stay apart from breakfast.

Liked: We had a gorgeous room with a 4 poster bed. The staff are lovely and there's a really nice atmosphere in the bar. We thought it was good value for money.
Disliked: Breakfast was very sparse and basic.
