Liked: Amazing location, old and quirky period property
Disliked: Unfortunately someone had a shower with the door open setting the fire alarm off… but otherwise a great stay!

Disappointed

Liked: We arrived early as we said we would be, however could not check in until 3pm, despite 3 other members of our group already having checked in. At 3pm we still had to wait until the receptionist had gone upstairs to check the room was ready before we could check in. Service was slow, breakfast was cold and was not a full Welsh breakfast. We were not asked how we would like our eggs so got two fried, one slice of bacon, 1 mushroom, 1 sausage, 1 tomato. Coffee was cold. Booked in for an evening meal, meal was lovely but service was extremely slow. Not the same experience we normally have at the hotel. I doubt we will be returning again

Excellent Stay

Liked: Friendly staff as soon as you walk in . Car Park at the rear & the front of the Hotel . Breakfast was nice . Comfortable room. Really spacious . Night light in the bathroom! Great TV. Large flat screen smart . Lovely fragrant smells everywhere. Subtle Easter decorations was a lovely touch.
Disliked: Little disappointed that the butter was from Gloucester Honey Jam & Marmalade from Essex Yoghurt from Preston! Some lovely Welsh local food would be good.

Exceptional

A lovely hotel with touches...

Liked: Staff are very friendly and a small issue was promptly dealt with and reaolved by the manager.Rooms are stylish with a perfect level of comfort and cleanliness. The Robert's radio and Nespresso machine were luxury touches.Breakfast is fantastic.

Liked: An old but beautiful hotel in the town centre. Great location for exploring the castle and waterfront.
