Great location, nice alternative to...

Liked: Well located, quiet, interesting layout and architecture, view of pecan tree tops from balcony, very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: $25 “amenity” fee not disclosed in advertised price; parking garage $35 (but there was street parking available); no coffee in room; a little too pretentiously artisanly-hip for my taste, but to each their own. It was cold, lovely outdoor areas would have been much more fun in summer.

Pleasant and laid back Austin...

Liked: Location, style, ambiance and the laid back feel of the hotel. The heated rooms were nice given that it was freezing outside, literally.
Disliked: Although it is a nice stylish hotel but place is overpriced, the parking costing extra 35 usd overnight, and so is a very basic breakfast (coffee and a pastry) for two. So it’s laid back only seemingly. Also, the staff seem to have an attitude that is a bit pretentious, including the waiters and the chef in the restaurant. There were very few to almost none vegan options. Nice but it can be somewhat off putting.
