Great location and rooms. Shame...

Liked: The location was great, a short walk to all amenities. The room was very clean and newly refurbished.
Disliked: Whilst the room had been refurbished, the air conditioning hadn’t. It was so unbelievably loud that it couldn’t be used. We informed reception who said they would send maintenance round, but they couldn’t fix it so we had no air conditioning for our stay, hence very little sleep in the Florida heat.

This hotel is top shelf....

Liked: The property is beautiful. The staff is constantly cleaning the interior as well as grounds, pool and beach areas.
Disliked: Two years ago they provided discounts for Florida residents (it a boat race week), however, during this year’s Off Shore Boat races they did not. I hope this changes. The discount would help absorb the cost of cab or Uber to and from down town for this of us that do not rent a car during(due to lack of parking). This issue will not prevent me from staying here again next year.

Liked: We chose the Capitana for our honeymoon in Key West, and let us tell you it was the best choice we’ve made. The vibes, the staff (especially the manager) were amazing, we had a room with a view and it was beautiful. Rooms are super spacious, very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Parking is very easy, and the hotel isn’t far from the old town area by Uber, didn’t cost much to and from it. Music was perfect by the pool and you get a beach feeling by the water.
Disliked: The only thing that could use a bit of improvement is the breakfast, could be a bigger variety of choices, or even one daily thing that’s always different.

Liked: The pool was great and the room spacious.
Disliked: The breakfast was very average and the inside seating options were limited. Compared to breakfast buffets in Europe the offering was very limited. There was no cheese or meat for the toast. Our room was right next to the breakfast area which limited our privacy.

Clean and new hotel with...

Liked: Nice, clean and big room. Nice swimming pool. Nice hotel in general.
Disliked: I didn’t like that there was a fake beach. There is just sand at the sea but no access to the sea. It is not possible to swim in the sea, only in swimming pool. I also didn’t like the breakfast, there was a few things to choose from. No cheese, no vegetable. No choice of fruit, only banana. I would recommend the manager of the hotel to visit for example Novotel Miami Brickell to see how the breakfast in a hotel of same category should look like. Also the plastic plates , cutlery and etc. should not appear in a hotel of such category. It was our most expensive night in Florida- over 400 USD for night, so I was very disappointed , mainly with breakfast. As for the room- there was very cool, although I switched off the AC, it turned on automatically during night. We were really disappointed, it was a bad price quality ratio..
