Excellent pit stop for an...

Liked: Property was booked due to its location. So handy for St Pancras & Kings Cross Station.
Disliked: Lots of noisy building work going on across the road from the hotel however this is during the day only so doesn’t affect evenings/night.

Hotel California was good value...

Liked: Reception staff were pleasant.Convenient location, room was fine for one person, would be crowded if two persons with luggage.Breakfast at Megaro was excellent, nice space there and friendly staff.
Disliked: I waited a long time because when she saw my suitcase, the nice lady on reception offered me a room on the ground floor instead of the one allocated to me ... my bad, the hotel has no lift, the stairs are steep and narrow, my room was to be up several flights, seems there was no one to actually help me with the suitcase which wasn't huge but weighted 17 kgs.Then I did wait a long time because the room was being cleaned, how long does cleaning a room take ?, I waited at least 25 mins, is that a long time ?The heating radiators in London are a mystery to the uninitiated, there's no such thing where I come from. Seems to me, the radiator heater should be turned on when the room is about to be occupied. I not sure the radiator even worked. No instructions are provided, nor are there instructions for the TV or a guide to the channels. The point about a hotel, is that no one staying in the hotel comes from that place .. instructions would be nice. The shower taps in London are also a mystery to someone who doesn't come from London ... everywhere I stayed over 15 nights presented a puzzle in the shower about how to access the rain shower vs the hose shower, no instructions, ever !!

Liked: All was very satisfying as presented and as expected. A good address !
Disliked: The only thing that has been a little annoying is the noise that could be heard from people in the corridor.

California dream

Liked: Staff go above and beyond. Very welcoming, helpful and really look after you whilst you're staying at the hotel. This was our 3rd time staying and honestly, would not stay anywhere else in London. Will be returning again in summer .
Disliked: Nothing, everything was perfect.

Charming small hotel with great...

Liked: I’ve been staying here for 5 years, lovely helpful staff, great location. Charming rooms, no elevator but great value.
Disliked: Nothing
