The quality of the hotel and room was comfortable and relaxing. The restaurant was full - we found the service at the bar for food, to be what one would expect at a restaurant. Food - well presented and delicious. I would recommend parking cars close to the hotel for ease of access and security / larger quilt on the double bed / full length mirror in room. Most definitely will stay here again and have recommended to friends.
Liked: Every staff member provided excellent customer service at just the right level of efficiency and friendliness.
Disliked: Clear directions on the website to warn people of the one way system - not so easy to get to for a motorist unfamiliar with the town.

A very pleasant stay with...
Liked: A lovely old building with great character. The breakfast was very good and our room was very comfortable.
Disliked: I found difficulty navigating to the car park, which is at the back of the hotel. A what3words reference; charm.gross.scarcely, would have made navigation easier. The one-way road system in the area makes it hard to get to.

Hidden gem.
Liked: Absolutely beautiful hotel. Bar and lounge area are stunning and a really nice atmosphere, couldn't believe the price of the drinks! For a place that looks so expensive it's really good value for money and the food menu was great too although we didn't try that this time. Will definitely be heading back soon. It's right in the city centre so only a couple of minutes walk to everything you could possibly need but was still quiet, room was so clean, bathroom was nice and loads of pillows on the huge bed which made a nice change. We upgraded to an executive room which was great and in a separate wing to the rest of the hotel, will upgrade to that when we go back too. Plenty of towels, robe's in the wardrobe, lots of storage and pretty much everything you could need for your stay. Large carpark which was very secure and had an undercover drop off area.
Disliked: Can't deny it looked a little bit of a dodgy area outside in the daytime and it was a right pain trying to find the entrance to the carpark so definitely make sure to get the postcode to the carpark and not the hotel when you go. once you find it it's really easy but blink and you'll miss it, and waste time going around a big one way system. Once inside the hotel it's like a different world from outside. Was impressed to have a mini fridge in the room and the only little niggle we had was we didn't have a bottle opener but that was easily remedied. Those were really the only problems we had which is nothing in the grand scheme of things. One regret was going down to breakfast a little late so the cooked food had been sat a while and it was a quiet weekend so not much turnover I guess but lot's of choice, staff bring some bits out fresh to order but best to ask for that before you go up to bed served the rest. Next time our stay will be perfect because we'll know how the service works.
