Liked: Beautiful position to admire the straits and the mountains. Lovely little town.Relaxing lounge.Good restaurant.
Disliked: Nothing really. Disappointed in the Grade for the coffee bar - right at the entrance from the car park!!! Needs sorting.Didn’t use it.

Bad manner

Disliked: An older lady working in the restaurant was very rude, I didn't pronounce the name of a dessert correctly and she laughed at me in front of me with one of her coworkers and mimicked my pronunciation of the dessert. The way the hotel handled this was also unprofessional, after I emailed the hotel about it, the hotel said they asked the employee and the chef and no one admitted to it, first of all it was late and there was no one in the restaurant except for the elderly lady and her co-worker who was laughing at me with her, maybe that's why they were reckless, secondly the kitchen is separated from the restaurant by a door and the employees in the kitchen certainly wouldn't have known about that. And of course the older lady would not admit it.The way the hotel handled the situation was condescending, and instead of explaining the incident where I heard the elderly lady mimic my mispronunciation, they said that it was because the way they were serving the large table made me uncomfortable, which I was very confused about because there was not a single guest in the restaurant at the time.

Good hotel that could be...

Liked: Location is fantastic - backs onto the high street and the other side faces the sea. It’s a beautiful old building
Disliked: There was a mix up over the room being a twin or double. Staff were more interested in proving that this was our fault rather helping us to resolve. The rooms are dated - refurb needed but appreciate the cost of doing in an old hotel like this would be high. It would help if they at least sorted the bathrooms - shower was a joke with nowhere near enough water spraying out to get clean. Reception were not in a rush to sort so had to use the bath.
