Liked: The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The nterior decoration throughout the property was fantastic. All original and kept in keeping with the age of the property. The host was so accommodating. nothing was too much trouble. We had food and drink in the bar, which was the most deliciously tasting Chinese meal I had ever had. Morning breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked English breakfast with a fantastic view over countryside.
Disliked: There was nothing to dislike. The heating wasn't on in the bedroom when we arrived, but the host did apologise, and it soon warmed up when the rads were turned on.

A strange mix of luxury...

Liked: - some unexpected upmarket features (bathrobes, slippers, Nespresso machine)- nice host- good food downstairs
Disliked: - the overall value for money wasn't great (quite expensive)- some tacky features, given overall upmarket feel (e.g., cardboard sheets under plants in the dining room or some empty plastic bottles scattered across the place)- breakfast took longer than we would have hoped: we pre-agreed a breakfast time (assuming a full English), but it was only at the pre-agreed breakfast time that we got asked what we'd like for breakfast (naturally, the only sensible / available answer was 'full English'). That made us sit there pointlessly for about 30 minutes.

Liked: Everything was perfect, exceeded my expectations. The host was lovely and amazing, we felt like home and she suggested a lot of things to see within the area. Would be coming back soon!

Liked: Lovely place to stay. Owner was charming. Hotel spotlessly clean, room was great, bed was very comfortable. Good breakfast and free parking nearby. Full of nice little touches like a book highlighting the history of the hotel and surrounding area. Recommended.
