We had a good stay...

Liked: The hotel was warm, room was a bit tired and could do with updating and the breakfast was good.
Disliked: Bar wasn't open during out stay which meant we had to go outside for a drink. Some of the staff could have been friendlier.

Okay for a one night...

Liked: Really nice breakfast, right downtown, walked around a lot. Secure parking available. Dinner recommendation by staff to a nearby hotel was excellent. Room was quiet.
Disliked: Room/beds were okay.

Disliked: Breakfast was awful, went to The Riverbank Cafe in Newton Stewart instead.

Liked: What we expected from a 3 star hit. Large room, good shower, nice breakfast.
Disliked: They are doing renovations but it should be good.

Liked: It was nice and spacious, ideal for a family. It was a late stop over for ferry but worked out great. Friendly owner and simple but clean hotel.
