Birthday at the Brown Palace

Liked: The staff are absolutely exceptional. The location was awesome. It's such a historic building and we loved the architecture. However, the room was disappointing. The bed was so uncomfortable and we tossed and turned all night. We couldn't believe they had such hard beds in such a beautiful hotel. Also, the heater didn't work in the room. It still gets chilly in Colorado at night. Twice we had someone come up to try to fix it, to no avail. They offered us to change rooms but who wants to do that in the middle of the night? Just give us a room from the beginning that has heat. We were told a manager would reach out...... nope. Anyway, besides an uncomfortable night our stay was wonderful. Mainly because of all the reasons stated above.Also, you will have to pay extra for Wi-Fi. I can't say that I've ever been to a nice hotel that had that extra charge. It was always a perk. Interesting.

Liked: The hotel is so beautiful and just reading about the history of it was great! The Ship Tavern is also great-great food, drinks, and their staff is wonderful!
Disliked: The cost is pretty steep, but it is a historic site and not a place you’d stay on a regular basis. I also feel that the rooms are pretty small for the price.

Dissatisfied with the service. Staff...

Disliked: Staff was very unpleasant to deal with. Unprofessional and rude. Isaiah had horrible attitude and should not be behind a counter working in a job primarily focused on customer service. His manager (Chareeya) stepped in and was also very unprofessional. Highly dissatisfied with their service and wouldn’t recommend.

Great staycation in downtown Denver!

Liked: Super friendly staff. Very thoughtful went above and beyond to make us feel special for my husband’s birthday.
