Liked: It is a beautiful property and very Christmassy. Great for functions and I’d definitely stay again.
Disliked: The bar staff (1) in the ‘cocktail’ bar when we arrived were insanely slow. It took us 25 minutes for 6 of us to get a drink, there were no other customers. It is also not a cocktail bar, didn’t sell a single cocktail.

Liked: We were upgraded so the room was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Big room lots of pillows, lovely shower and bath and good quality shampoo and soaps. Bath robe and slippers and a mini fridge in the room. Breakfast buffet has been upgraded too since our visit last year and has more vegan and vegetarian options. Restaurant and snack bar for things to eat. Lots of car parking space. Hospitality kindly helped us down with our suitcases. Excellent service with a smile.
Disliked: Most of the rooms to the left of the building are difficult to get to being some distance from the reception area and involve mini stairs to get to the rooms; so with heavy suitcases it would be a problem. They are also a distance to the eating areas. The lift does not serve that side of the hotel.

Very relaxing stay

Liked: Property was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very helpful: I had an issue with my key and then no hot water in the room, they have been very helpful until the issues were solved.
Disliked: Cleaning service was loud during the day

Liked: Staff were very polite, friendly and attentive. Hotel is spotless and in very good condition. Really quiet location.
Disliked: There's a lot of stairs to climb with only one lift which still needs stairs to reach most rooms. It's what you'd expect with a large Edwardian building though.
