A really lovely old-style hotel

Liked: Lovely old-style hotel, good value for money rooms and breakfast included. The dinner was also very good. It is situated in a quiet area with a nice pub just feet away and a must-visit garden centre only a few minutes drive.

I'll be back!!

Liked: The staff were all excellent, very welcoming and attentive. Also, the food was excellent. My dinner was beef and the gravy and side dishes were delicious. Breakfast as also at a very high standard
Disliked: The room could do with a spruce, a little bit of paint missing and a hook off the door, but this didn't detract from my excellent stay

Charming property

Liked: Charming older building. Republic areas are lovely and the staff were delightful. The room that I stayed in was in dire need of a facelift and unfortunately the carpets were badly stained and very dirty.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Cheap but disappointing.

Liked: The rooms were pretty dated and unfortunately we didn’t stay in the oldest part, so the rooms were quite different from what was shown in the photos. And not for the better.
