Beautiful rooms, fabulous bar &...

Liked: Beautiful, cozy room. Lovely personal touch offering water and baked cookies in the evening! We requested a baby bath for our 4 month old and the concierge sorted us out straight away - very baby friendly! We loved the bar lounge and staff so much, our favourite evening spot!

Dirty, rundown, not chick :(

Liked: Not much!
Disliked: - Has a dirty feeling to it. Would like to have the feeling of Chiltern Firehouse in UK, but didn't manage.- Bad beds, with old matraces. Buying a branded bed is more expensive, but helps the lifespan!-Carpets have not been changed or reorganised. Idea is good, but would need more maintainance! (Even worse idea to put a carpet in the gym, where people sweat. A vacum cleaner will not clean it).- in the bar, they make a bad negroni (with only Campari and waaay too many Campari)- generally if a building is refurbished and then styled chick that is a good option. When they want to hide not sufficient renovation behind chick, that is less good. Here this is the situation...

next time Upper east side

Liked: The room was nice with a big window to the quiet park
Disliked: No coffee machine, no kettle in the rooms. Loby with too many carpets and fabric sofas (if you have allergies for dust mites you know what i mean). No one in the reception explained me anything about the hotel , like where is the breakfast, gym etc. After 2 nights (i was there a week) I asked for the kettle and one guy in the reception told me that there is a free coffee in the bar from 5-8 am. Like i would know that. I didn’t like the neighborhood too. Anyway Not suitable for non-douche visitors.
