It was ok, but felt...

Liked: Nice size room, nice biscuits. Crap fake milk so couldn’t enjoy a proper cuppa. Staff were lovely and very helpful.
Disliked: Manky glasses in room and from the bar. Several questionable stains on the bedroom throws and decorative pillows. Bedding was clean but the decorative bedding needs washing. Woke up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night the heating came on full blast.

Liked: Lovely staff, easy to communicate with and friendly. Comfortable rooms adjacent to the pub. Really good location close to the centre.
Disliked: Carpets are a bit dated but the maintenance more than made up for it. Lots of stairs may not suit guests with mobility issues.

Well appointed room and bathroom...

Liked: Very comfortable room and well appointed bathroom. Friendly staff and I was served promptly at dinner despite there being large Christmas groups in the night I was there. Delicious beef dinner.
Disliked: The stairs might be an issue for some on the upper floors, however, a very pleasant young woman offered to help carry luggage when I was shown to my room.

Super staff

Liked: Always a welcoming smile, nothing is too much trouble. Delightful mince pies instead of biscuits.
