Liked: Great location, super helpful staff . Any issues were dealt with quickly, staff couldn’t have been more helpful. A lovely pub and comfy room.
Disliked: Would have been helpful if we could have stored cases there for a short time after checkout.Would have liked a warning about the live music being on as was underneath one of our rooms.

Fantastic location

Liked: The location was fantastic, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the room was lovely with everything you could need, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer. Great pub downstairs and a delicious breakfast too. Will definitely return again

Pretty Decent

Liked: Great location! 10 mins from the train station, near The Shambles, York Minster, and access to the city walls. Staff were lovely and friendly. The pub was cosy and welcoming. The room was small but had what we needed. Bed was a bit firm for me, but I slept OK. Due to location, there was some street noise, and I kept hearing a noise from below that sounded about a large fridge or something. It was fine, though. The bathroom was again small but nice, let down by the grubby silicone, and a new shower head is needed wee black bits were falling off when it was in use. Temperature and pressure were good though. There's a hairdryer, iron, toiletries and tea/coffee in the room. Breakfast was good!
Disliked: Some minor fixes and I would.have rated higher. Definitely need to redo the silicone in the bathroom and comfier pillows would be great. Ours were a but lumpy.

Cozy and welcoming tavern for...

Liked: Excellent location and cozy tavern. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do more for you. Breakfast was great with both hot and cold options and anything you wanted as long as they could muster it up. Rooms were quiet and warm
Disliked: Bed was a little firm but that's just the choice of mattress which you can't please everyone. A pot of coffee at breakfast could have made things perfect.
