Liked: The setting, the food and the staff.

Very enjoyable apart from Christmas...

Liked: Great location. Polite and helpful staff. Dog friendly. Comfortable and clean accomodation.Lovely breakfast and dinner (apart from Christmas Day).
Disliked: We stayed over the festive period and had Christmas Day lunch with family. There were too many covers, consequently the staff were overwhelmed and the quality of food not up to the usual standard. If you charge £175 per head then it needs to be excellent.

Extremely disappointing. I'll never go...

Liked: Not much other than the underfloor heating in the bathroom.
Disliked: No help with luggage. Scuffed painwork all over property. Dirty and worn carpets. Scuffed worn furniture. No minibar. Cheap plastic water bottles in room. No proper wardrobe. No chair in room. Nowhere to sit and do my hair and makeup. No prosecco in bar. Average food in resteraunt. Very, very overpriced.

Good but not as good...

Liked: Have stayed before, love the building, rooms and the staff are really welcoming
Disliked: Not so much a dislike but disappointed with the menu (different to the one currently on the website) We were only 2 in the restaurant on first night and the food was warm not hot. There was an overpowering smoked element on my pork dish which spoiled it for me (I hate anything smoked) The coffee ordered in the bar wasn’t hot, they remade it but said we should ask for it extra hot is we wanted it hot??? We ate from the bar menu the next night which was good

Liked: Breakfast was outstanding. Fantastic ingredients all very fresh. Superb service. Delightful staff.
