Disliked: Our stay was terrible, they relocated us day before to the Washington Hotel which was far away from all of our other reservations. The Blakely was impossible to get ahold of. The staff at the Washington were really rude about our concerns and downgraded us from a king suite to a double room and didn’t see why we were upset. They raised their voices at us when we tried to say something about it. The hotel ran out of soap and the elevator was broken for most of our stay.

Dissapointing state of the basic...
Liked: It was meh honestly. The size of the room was good and we didn't have any problems with booking like other comments. (for this I recommend sending an email directly to the hotel so that they can confirm they have the reservation, I emailed 2 people just to make sure). Location is great, has a metro right beside it, nice walking distance from Central Park and Times Square, can't complain on that part.
Disliked: Super old, not clean, sheets were a bit dirty, towels are falling apart. This hotel need a bit of an investment in cleaning and substitution of sheets and towels. I recommend not touching any floors without flippers or some kind of protection, I don't even want to know how long it's been since they have deeply cleaned those carpets. I know its a cheaper option and its a bit of an old establishment, but that doesn't excuse lack off cleanliness and horrible state of items that are used for hygiene and sleeping. There has to be a minimum you know what I mean?

Liked: The city shut down this property before we even arrived in the city and booking.com ignored our emails asking for help. One of their sister properties provided us a room (which was impossible to arrange until we had arrived in the city bec neither property would answer or respond to phone messages or emails (or booking.com). The Blakely didn't even post a sign informing people who were showing up at the hotel for their reservation about this option. I just tried to see if booking.com would let me book a two night stay again right now at the Blakely and yes they will gladly do so despite the hotel being closed. We have lost all trust in booking.com.

Liked: Never encountered such an awful hotel experience since I began to travel 20 years ago. Total scam and it actually doesn’t exist. Be careful.
