Liked: Good quality breakfast in the heart of town. Friendly staff. Generally very good.
Disliked: Pub not only shuts early but also closes earlier than advertised.

Friendly staff, good food, good...

Liked: Our Evening meal and breakfasts were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit tired and shabby, and mine was a bit noisy at the front of the hotel on the high street. Otherwise all good.
Disliked: Just the room overlooks the high street was a bit noisy, especially early morning.

Superb

Liked: Lovely old hotel, very comfortable, large room with 6ft bed , good breakfast and a very good dinner in the restaurant. Safe parking is a plus, as is the dog friendliness
Disliked: If I'm really picky, the shower is a bit difficult to use , the bath is deep, so getting in and out can be awkward and the shower it's self is a bit weak

Passable

Liked: Tte hotel is actually quite cozy with a relaxing bar and restaurant area and the staff are pleasant and helpful.
Disliked: Lumpy pillows.Rooms were cold as heating was turned off.Shower had really poor pressure and took forever to heat up.Breakfast was passable but very basic with the usual English breakfast fare.Dinner menu was again fairly basic and lacking imagination with no lighter options such as salads etc. the bar closed at 10pm even for hotel guests. If the hotel employed a chef with some flair and imagination I believe that the restaurant would be full every night.
