Disliked: It’s not really a dislike. But for me the food was great. If I had known the starters were so huge. I would not have ordered a main meal as well

Covenient for our visit, cheap...

Liked: The accommodation is basic, hence the price, but ok for a night sleepover. Had tea, coffee and biscuits in the room which was nice to have. Breakfast was good. Staff very nice and helpful. The pub seemed good, although we did not actually use the it on this day as we had a wedding event nearby.
Disliked: One main annoyance was the awful creeky noisy and uncomfortable bed or mattress in room 3, it needs addressing which is why we gave a low rate.

Rooms need updating.

Liked: The pub and food was excellent. The rooms were well heated.
Disliked: The rooms need updating. There were cobwebs on the coving. The water from the shower ran into the room. The towels were Grey and flat.

Friendly owners, good food and...

Liked: The room first offered, because it was quiet, had heating problems. We were efficiently given another room, which even though it had an interconnecting door was still a better option. Having the restaurant in the Pub with good food was ideal as it saved driving to another venue in the evenings. Having the choice of an included continental breakfast or paying extra for a cooked one suited us. There is a lot of parking space so never a problem. The owners are very friendly, especially Nicola, and seem to run a worthy establishment.
Disliked: There is no shaver socket but the cleaner found us an adapter. There was no hairdryer but presumably one could be sourced by asking. A bedside lamp on both sides would have been appreciated.
