Tasteful and charming B&B run...
Liked: We loved the charm of the property and the proprietor, Jonathan, was extremely welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and well appointed with high ceilings, good quality linens, a sitting area, and desk. The location was good, in a quiet neighborhood about a 10 minute walk to the city wall.
Disliked: The bed was high quality but a bit softer than we’re used to.

Lovely stay in a historic...
Liked: Clean and comfortable room; warm and cosy atmosphere. Jonathan the owner was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great weather during my stay so it was a lovely 15-20 minute walk to the city centre.
Disliked: Nothing I didn’t like but a small lounge to sit and read in the evening and enjoy a cup of tea would make such a difference.

Posh weekend stay for Uni...
Liked: The hosts were communicative and welcoming from the start! They recommended really wonderful restaurants before our arrival, so dinner reservations were done and dusted and we had no stress. When we were shown to our room it was perfect! Plenty of space for myself and my college bound kid. The decor is gorgeous and the beds are so plush and comfortable. Even though we were at the front of the house, the double paned windows blocked the street noise, and the shutters blocked the street lights. In the morning we had a delicious full English breakfast with local sausages. The coffee was excellent, and we enjoyed the ambience of the dining room. I also enjoyed the travel tips from our host while we worked out plans for the day. The walk into town was easy and navigating York was no problem from this location.
Disliked: My only wish would be a little bit more shower pressure. Probably difficult in an older home.
