It's not to me to say customer service is dead. But the lady who checked us in on Saturday afternoon obviously should have another job or be held accountable for her lack of customer service. I've long believed customer service is dead and unfortunately the stay here did not help. Only issue I had was our room on the six floor had very loud partying floor mates. Not in your control. It was clear that my girlfriend and I would not be getting sleep with these party goers - I tried around 7 o'clock to get another room but was properly shut down by this woman - 'no way possible, you will just be put in another area where you'll be next to someone else. I will go talk to them'. That didn't seem like a logical conclusion so we went out, got dinner, came back by 10 and the partygoers were still at it, loud out on the balcony and I called our lady again. After much resistance to change our rooms to any room for that matter and I didn't care if we were going to be next to another person I didn't wanna be next to party goers, she permitted the change. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a customer service experience when we are at the center of the experience but sadly we're all left to feel like we're inconveniencing you all. I know times are tough but am I correct to assume you're supposed to be in a way taking care of us?

Disliked: No fridge in the room, no microwave anywhere in the hotel I am on a special diet and brough all my meals prepared ahead- was nowhere to store or reheat. Had to throw everything away and try to find what I am allowed to eat.Carpet in the room had a big stain! (blood stain? someone was murdered?- creepy thoughts all night long.... :))Decorative pillows on the bed had so many different hairs- long black, short gray...

Overall good one night stay

Liked: We stayed one nite. İt was overall ok.
Disliked: We asked if the area was safe, the answer was definitely.. The area is not particularly comforting if you walk 2 or 3 blocks away. Quite a few homeless or street people can walk up to you and ask for things. So did not particularly like that. This is not the fault of the hotel of course. Don't walk to far at night..

Liked: Staff was helpful and nice, bed was very comfortable with exceptionally smooth sheets. Great location in downtown Richmond. Room was clean. Was able to book on short notice for a reasonable price.
Disliked: Inside was a little dated although some may find it charming. I thought it was decent. Wish there was something with a USB port to make charging devices more convenient.

Liked: Staff are remarkable . House cleaner refused tip but catered to every request . Valet/ concierge looked after luggage after I checked out and even gave clear directions how to walk to train station. Plus found my cellphone !
Disliked: No workout facility
