Exceptional

Liked: The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, from housekeeping to breakfast staff to reception. The rooms were beautifully decorated - everywhere appeared to have been recently refurbished. The location was quiet but close to amenities like a shop, pub, pharmacy and an Indian restaurant. Great access to the A1 too. Everywhere was very clean and the parking was very close to the entrance of the hotel.
Disliked: Nothing we didn't like!

I reccommend the Bell to...

Liked: It was large and friendly. Immediate excellent service in reception upon arrival. Enjoyed being put in the main hotel. Again, excellent service at the bar later and a very good supper. The room was just right, with a hand written welcome from housekeeping. Full English Breakfast was simply one of the best - I really appreciate how tricky it is to serve fresh, hot perfectly food to many tables at once. I booked this place last minute on the back of its top reviews which are entirely valid.
Disliked: Nothing.

Gorgeous stay, lovely food, mostly...

Liked: We loved the staff in the bar, and the manager, on the day we arrived (25.01.25) was very attentive, and even found us a place to sit, whilst she checked if our room was ready. Lovely big room. Super warm, so turned the rads down! Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Our room was a Garden Room, so we were near the green space for the dogs. The room was dog friendly, but did not smell of pet at all, in fact smelt like a spa when we walked in, as it had just been cleaned. The bed was comfy too. Took a while to connect to the WiFi, but I think that's just because we were quite a way from the router I would imagine. We went to see family for the visit. We stayed, we ate, we had coffee and all was really great! Oh, and there is lovely Stilton available to purchase as well. Easy access off the A1M as well. Definitely worth a visit, and we will be back again, I am sure!
Disliked: I have had to say the bathroom really did need some attention. It was the most ungiving bathroom I think I have ever seen! It was an accessible room, so there was a shower chair in there (looked like it had been there a long time), and it looked off colour and very uninviting. I thought it could have been much more inviting, which I suspect your "normal" bathrooms may be (or are all your bathrooms like that?). At the bottom of the shower, there were rings of black, which had not been scrubbed, and was really quite off putting to even want to get in the shower, which was very disappointing and my wife found this particularly unpleasant.
