A really enjoyable stay in...

Liked: Full of character; very large comfortable bed; excellent breakfast and friendly helpful staff.
Disliked: The blue light on the wall heater was a bit disturbing as we like a really dark bedroom but we just switched the heater off so easily sorted.

Comfortable Coaching Inn Stopover

Liked: A charming coaching inn built around a courtyard with lots of cosy corners to find a quiet spot to relax and read the papers. Location near to A1M yet in a large village was ideal with street parking or car park to the side. Full English breakfast was cooked to order which was very tasty and a choice of juices, cereals, porridge, toast and croissants. Comfortable bed with a good hot rain shower. Harrogate bottled water, wide range of tea, coffee and biscuits provided. Check in and out was efficient and friendly.
Disliked: The restaurant stopped serving food by 9 pm on a Friday evening and the only option provided was crisps! No additional facilities or room service.

Would definitely stay again.

Liked: Lovely hotel in a quiet location, friendly welcoming staff, fabulous food - we did think about eating out on the second night but the food was so good on the first night, we decided to stay put. Radio tuned to classic FM on arrival was a nice touch, as were the books giving some history on Stilton.
Disliked: Bathroom was very small but appreciated not much can be done about that.

Everything was Brilliant. The manger...

Liked: The room was immaculate, cosy and warm. The breakfast was plentiful with a great selection, and the dinner menu was fab, with lots to choose from. We particularly liked the way the menu clearly stated dietary and calorie values. There were even a couple of EV charging points which were in full working order and very reasonably priced. All in all a brilliant stay, with great food and warm friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we wouldn’t hesitate to return when we are next in the area.
Disliked: Nothing

Great stay in a lovely...

Liked: Really lovely period property in a lovely village. Very quaint . The room we were appointed was just gorgeous . The young lad that was on bar / reception was fab, very knowledgable about the area …. And the Stilton Also the housekeeping girl was top notch and very efficient as we only booked 2 hours before arriving .
Disliked: Everything was perfect, but the one niggle I had were that the pillows were so hard, I ended up wrapping cushions in a bathrobe to get a bit of a softer feel
