Monopolistic. Poor management and staff....

Liked: Ambience in the bar was pleasant.
Disliked: Room was left unlocked after cleaning and vulnerable to theft. Management were dismissive when addressing the issue…. and typically careless staff that don’t connect and ultimately don’t listen to the customer.

A fine, well run Inn...

Liked: The Bell is an old coaching inn, refurbished in the modern style while retaining much of it's original charm. Our room was comfortable and fitted out to a high standard, including a particularly good bathroom shower. Breakfast was outstanding, in part due to the locally sourced ingredients, and the staff were most obliging and pleasant.
Disliked: A few minor quibbles - the wifi was playing up, and while dinner in the restaurant was delicious the portion sizes were much too small. Happily this was not the case with breakfast which was satisfyingly hearty.
