Funky hotel but sub par...
Liked: Location.
Disliked: The room was sub par. It looked like a part of a larger room that had been cut up, hence the number 35A. It was clean and comfortable enough but: it was advertised as having cooking facilities and while there was a cook top there were no utensils, no dishes, and no pots; there was no bathroom sink - the only sink was beside the cooktop; there was a small fridge and a coffee maker but no microwave; there was no dresser to put clothes in and the closet was a niche in the wall with a few hangars. And for this I paid the full rate of over $100.00 per day.

Passable
Liked: It was in the heart of downtown, easy to get to where we needed to go, good value for when we got.
Disliked: It's an old heritage building so the "Reno" adding a kitchenette into the room didn't make any sense especially since they didn't provide any cookware or cutlery to the room. There was exposed plumbing from the kitchenette and the mini fridge was oddly in the middle of the room because of it. There were two sinks in the room one right across from each other which was also weird. Lots of dust on the shelves, glad I wasn't staying for more than a night because I wouldn't have wanted to unpacked my clothes into those shelves.

A favourite hotel we go...
Liked: Amazingly helpful and generous staff, cleanliness, location.
Disliked: There were two shower heads in our room, but only one worked.

Good location with useful facilities
Liked: Good sized room and the bed was comfy. It was good to have a fridge and cooking facilities. They provided kitchen items and also washing up liquid and a sponge which was useful. The location was great, close to the harbour and it was possible to walk to all main tourist attractions. There were also buses nearby to get around which seemed reasonably priced and efficient.
Disliked: No basin in the bathroom so one sink had to double up for washing up and hand washing/teeth cleaning. Not the end of the world but it was a bit odd. The receptionist initially didn't mention that I had to ask for plates and cooking pots but once that was sorted it was fine.

Convenient! Right in downtown Victoria,...
Liked: Nice quaint room, loved the jacuzzi tub, and how the hotel is right in downtown. The restaurant across the way is amazing too it’s called Earls. The bar downstairs had great service but not great chicken wings. Love how you couldn’t hear other guests so it was quiet but street noise is very loud because you’re in downtown.
Disliked: Bed is pretty hard, and the street noise is loud. Wish there was a pool and that the staff was more friendly. The parking needs more options for being closer but isn’t bad. Wish the area felt a bit safer

Pleasant
Liked: Location is great. Late check in and late check out was also good. The view was of the street was decent because there's always something going on, on government st.
Disliked: Many broken things in our room before arrival. Nearby paid parking says it's for overnight, however it's very difficult to pay and overnight parking is discouraged. Had to pay $100 security deposit upon checkin, so we had less money to use on our trip... that really sucked. I didn't like paying a deposit for a room that was already damaged. Mirror in the bathroom broken, for example. Early in the morning some junkies were screaming and cursing in the street. Very loud in our room.
