Great place to stay for...
Liked: Very friendly staff. The place is a lovely old school hotel with a nice charm. Very clean. Easy to deal with. Very good parking which was important for this visit. Will definitely use again.
Disliked: Checkin after 8pm would be under an extra charge so we had to rush to get there. It is a bit old, but I think that gave it a nice charm. Couldn't find the wifi password in the room.

Liked: N/A. Didn't stayed at the hotel.
Disliked: I booked the hotel online. I paid by debit card with no indication that there was a problem. I also indicated at the time of the booking that it was my intention to arrive between 7pm and 8pm. This was accepted and I received email confirmation. Subsequently, I received a phone call, message and email asking me to contact the hotel. I telephoned immediately and spoke to someone who explained that my card had been declined. I apologised for any inconvenience caused, for although there were sufficient funds in the account to cover the hotel bill, I had drawn out £500.00 pounds in cash for the weekend. My bank was clearly being cautious. I offered to pay with another card but was told that there was no need to make payment now as I was traveling up in a few hours and they could take payment on my arrival. I agreed to this arrangement.I left, as planned, giving myself a buffer of at least 30minutes. Initially, my Sat Nav indicated that I would arrive at the hotel at 7:30pm. However, while on route the Sat Nav indicated an issue and suggested that my ETA would now be 8:05pm. On receiving this information I immediately telephoned the hotel from my car to inform them of the situation. I spoke to someone, who I believe was the same lady as before, who immediately stated that I should find somewhere else to stay. I explained that I was only trying to do the right thing and let the hotel know of the unforeseen circumstances. The lady then stated that it was not her problem. I was taken aback by the lady's comments. She then confirmed she would be cancelling my booking. I agreed that there was no benefit in continuing with the conversation and stopped the call.I subsequently booked another hotel while on route, who accommodated my requirements. A Elizabeth Markham has subsequently sent me abusive messages to my mobile number and emailed me an invoice for payment.I WILL NOT BE PAYING THIS INVOICE.

Suited our requirements perfectly, i.e....
Liked: No food available. Room was smallish but VERY clean and tidy. Bed was extremely comfortable with clean crisp cotton sheets. Ample parking. Excellent pub recommended by owner just around the corner.
Disliked: Nothing!
