Good

Boiling hot rooms

Liked: Lovely modern rooms, nice and clean. Sockets near to the bed which was needed for a sleep apnea CPAP machine. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: We had 2 rooms booked and both were absolutely boiling hot meaning that we all had no sleep despite opening the windows in the rooms. Such a shame as the rooms were lovely .Additionally the family room with our 3 grandchildren in, had no glasses to have drinks from. I even went to the bar to buy bottles of water and the bar staff said there would be glasses in the rooms. The beds were not very comfortable adding to the lack of sleep.

As perfect as it gets

Liked: We called to say we were 15 minutes away to ask if the kitchen was open.The lady told us the kitchen had just closed but asked the chef if we could eat and he agreed to make us a sandwich with fries which turned out to be fantastic!The ladies behind the bar were great as was the lady I assumed was the manager.I cannot remember when we booked something so late and was treated like this .All very welcoming and happy staff who were perfect at their jobs.Well done to all the staff 10/10 The rooms were also 10/10.
Disliked: There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

An unwelcoming pub with rooms.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: I would not recommend this pub with rooms. Unwelcoming and unhelpful. The door to reception was locked with no sign as how to gain entry. Staff were able to see and hear me knocking but refused to open the door. Equally they refused to open the door when I telephoned explaining that I couldn't get in. I was told to go via the restaurant, a long walk with a heavy bag to reach the other side of the door, yet staff were stood the other side of the locked door.
